Each of the 26 bones in your foot can cause foot pain! The many joints in between are also a rich source of pain. It is no wonder the foot, with its many bones, joints, ligaments, nerves and muscles, can cause so much discomfort.

Causes of Foot Pain

Your feet support your entire body weight. If you have a common mechanical problem such as over-pronation, structures above your feet will have to compensate. This can lead to other problems such as knee, hip, pelvic or low back pain. On the other hand, spinal restrictions of the low back can also lead to weakness in the feet and ankles.
